Questions

Before you ask.

How much does a commercial cost to produce?

A 30-second animated spot starts around $6,500. A one-day live-action shoot with a small crew, plus edit, color, sound, and the cutdowns, typically lands in the low to mid five figures depending on cast, locations, and licensing. We fix the number after one discovery call.

How long does a commercial take?

About twelve weeks from kickoff to delivery on our normal clock, three weeks a stage: planning, script, storyboard, then the shoot or animation and post. A rush is possible; call and we will tell you the date we can hit.

Do you handle music licensing and talent releases?

Yes. We license music for the media you plan to run, from web-only to national broadcast, and we handle talent releases and usage terms so the spot can run where you bought the airtime.

Can one shoot produce several ads?

Yes, and it should. We plan the shoot day around a family of cuts: the hero spot, a fifteen, two bumpers, and vertical versions for social. One day of production, a full quarter of media.

Animated or live action for a commercial?

Animated when the product is software, data, or an idea, and when you need it fast without a crew. Live action when the brand is people and place. The LogRhythm spots here are animated; Whole Foods and Veriheal are live action.
